Paralegal Obtains “Legal” Status

It’s always gratifying to find a paralegal who might return to a firm as a fully qualified lawyer after obtaining paralegal certification or any other paralegal qualification.¬† That is not to say that there is nothing wrong with paralegals who do not seek to achieve attorney status, but the flexibility of the profession is such that there are multiple opportunities for those seeking to remain as paralegals or not.

In Australia, former paralegal Justin Vaastra has joined the Australian commercial law firm arnold-block where Vaastra had previously worked as a paralegal.

He now intends working in litigation and insolvency work and has been welcomed to the firm as a “fierce advocate”.

Which is yet another story about the merits of paralegals who obtain certification or otherwise and remain dedicated to the pursuit of legal careers either as paralegals or not.
